Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know before your first chat. Still have a question? Our team reads every report.
Is heylu.app free?
Yes. All you need is a free account with a verified email address. That's how we keep bots and trolls out.
What are interests for?
We prefer to connect you with people who entered the same interests. If no one turns up within the maximum wait time, you'll be connected at random.
What happens when I report someone?
At the moment of the report we save screenshots of both cameras and the chat history for our moderation team. You'll be connected to someone new right away.
Is the chat monitored?
To protect everyone, moderators can watch, listen to and read ongoing chats live. Chats are logged for safety. Breaking the rules leads to a ban.
How old do I have to be to use heylu.app?
heylu.app is for people aged 18 and over only.
